16 DCD and Co-Morbidity in Relation to the Autism and ADHD Reviews | Back | Table of Contents | Next | The DCD guideline contains recommendations which overlap with the needs of many children with Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. However, it should be recognised that each of these conditions may be present without DCD and therefore require assessment in their own right. It is therefore important to note that a Joint Service Review on children and young persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorders has recently been carried out. The Review recognised that children with the co-morbidity developmental disorders common to Autism – Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, ADHD – will benefit from the recommendations and service developments of this review.
